Oven Pass, Flüela Pass, Via Mala gorge and Julier Pass

Route: Prad – Glurns – Taufers im Münstertal – Sta. Maria – Val Müstair – Oven Pass – Zernez – Susch – Flüela Pass – Davos – Tiefencastel – Thusis – Via Mala gorge – Thusis – Tiefencastel – Julier Pass – Silvapalana – St. Moritz – Engadin – Zernez – Oven Pass – Taufers – Prad

Our route starts in Prad and takes us towards Glurns, where we turn left to Taufers im Münstertal. After crossing the village, we reach the Italian-Suisse border (passport controls possible – EU external border).

After leaving the villages Müstair and Sta. Maria we follow the Val Müstair up to the Oven Pass (2149m). Then we head off to the National Park and down to Zernez.

In Zernez we stay on the left side and ride on to Susch. Again we stay left and drive up the pass roads of the Flüela Pass (2283m). At the top of the pass we have a wonderful view to a little mountain lake and the mountain world of the Silvretta range.

Now we ride on to Davos and to Tiefencastel, going along the river Albula to Thusis. From Thusis it’s only a stone’s throw away to the Mala gorge.

We return the same way until Tiefencastel, there we turn right and ride up to the Julier Pass (2284m). Arrived in Silvaplana, we ride to St. Moritz, the legendary skiing village, and continue through the Engadin to Zernez. Now we ride back the same route where we came from, via the Oven Pass to Taufers and back again to Prad.
