When children don’t want to go home anymore

At the Watles Adventure Mountain, situated above Burgeis in the Western part of South Tyrol, awaits you a unique playing and hiking experience with a stunning view to the mountain of the Vinschgau Valley. The Adventure Mountain is the ideal starting point for family-friendly hiking tours. The chairlift of Prämajur takes you easily to the recreation area at 2.000 m above sea level. Once arrived there, you will immediately be astonished by the children’s playground and the new adventure lake. Very close to these attractions, there is also a 3D archery facility with two courses.

Enjoy the impressive mountain backdrop of the Upper Vinschgau Valley or try some local specialities such as a traditional Tyrolean top-up snack called “Marende”. The large terrace of the Alpine hut Plantapatschhütte is the right place for it! For all those who don’t want to go back down to the valley by foot or with the chairlift, we recommend you to hire a Mountainkart. With this go-kart like vehicles you may run along on a 4 km long forestry road all the way down to the valley station.

Adventure Lake

For children, the 1500 sqm and 40 cm deep lake is the ideal place for all kinds of adventure. Here you can glide along on rafts, cross over a big suspension bridge and admire the 3 m high water falls and the small river – there’s a lot to discover here! With a maximum depth of 40 cm the lake is suitable for everyone.

At lunchtime you may look for the snack-bar and hut with sitting areas for your picnic. If you seek for relaxation you can go to the sandy beach with wooden sun loungers and enjoy the stunning mountain landscape at first hand. In summer, the Adventure Lake with its attractions is daily open from 8.30 am to 5 pm, entry free of charge.

Tire slide

Whether on your own or as a couple, sit down in a tire and off you go downhill across the adventure slide. Those who are lucky enough to get a tire want to keep it forever. Fun factor guaranteed.

Funballz

The ultimate kick is offered by funballz on the lake: with these huge, transparent and air-filled plastic balls all your family can start walking on the water – in fact, without getting your feet wet! In the interior of the balls you have enough air and space so you can use them also without prior knowledge. Whether on your own or with up to 3 persons – funballz are fun for young and old alike. Mountainkarts

First you have to go up to the mountain. Either with the Watles-lift, or, for the sportive ones, by foot using the beautiful hiking trail. After a short rest at the Alpine huts Höfer Alm or Plantapatschhütte you will enjoy your drive down to the valley with a Watles Rider.

The aspect reminds a go-kart, with the difference that in front there’s only one axis. The comfortable design seat ensures a high driving stability. For all those who like it a bit more slowly, they can reduce speed with the hydraulic disk brakes with a dual brake system. Moreover, the robust rims guarantee high security. For a fee!
